Note: Available to purchase at Amazon: LINK / Olive Young: LINK / Joom: LINK / Beauty Box Korea: LINK

Hello all!

As you can see from the image below; Squid Game’s (and very famous model) Hoyeon modelled for the K-beauty brand FEEV; modelling both their Liquid Blushes and Tinted Lip Balms . Thanks to Hoyeon, I purchased all the Feev Lip Balms (excluding their transparent Lip Glow).

Brand Description: Feev is a K-beauty Skincare brand that uses Bio-active Betulin from the Canadian Birch Tree (This ingredient works like Cica aka it helps alleviate irritation and redness) in all its products. Succinic Acid is also included to help balance the skin’s pH levels (and oil-water balance). They are known for their Hyper-intensive conditioning serum, Hyper-fit balancing toner and Hyper-firtifying Barrier Cream (recommended to normal-dry skins).

NOTE: I have reviewed the Feev Liquid Blushes HERE

Swatches

Video Swatch (To see the texture + colour pigmentation):

Texture: As you can see, this melts quite quickly on the skin and is easy and smooth to spread it around.

Is this sticky?: No.

Is this greasy?: Yes. This feels like an Oil-serum once melted into the skin.

Blendable?: Yes (but it makes this quite sheer!).

Colour pay-off?: This does definitely have some colour BUT, it has a more of a ”Your lips but better” colour pay-off.

#After Squat

As you can see, this isn’t a liquid balm. It comes out as a paste which then melts onto the lips.

As you can see, this has a red-based tint to it. The product is glossy.

#Rosy Cozy

Advertisements

As you can see, this has a ”Rosey” tone/base to it. But notice as this product blends out, how there is still pigment, but it sheers out quite a lot?

#Meaning Out

As you can see, Meaning out has an Organ/Coral base.

Chilling Chili Colour payoff Swatch: Top Lip (No product) Bottom Lip (Product)

As you can see, this has a nice, glowy and subtle finish to it. There is a ”Your lips but better” colour to it. I purposefully chose Chilling Chili as this looks very pigmented, but as you can see, on the lips; there isn’t a huge amount of colour pay-off.

Swatch Comparison:

  • Hopefully you can see the undertone of each Lip Balm

Favourite Colours?: I would recommend the stronger shades to get some sort of pigmentation i.e. After Squat and Chilling Chili.

Experience + Review

Texture experience: This almost feels like a lip oil on the lips (i.e. like the Niod Lip Bio Concentrate REVIEW), so it isn’t sticky or tacky and has an initial oil-feel to it on the lips. So initially this feels quite moisturising. But because this isn’t thick etc like a regular lip balm, I find that this product disappears quite quickly and I’m not left with a very moisturising feeling on the lips.

What about using these on the cheeks?: Yes you can use this on the cheeks if you want, it’s actually very blendable, natural and wearable on the cheeks (feels very similar to the AOU Cosmetics Lip Glow Balm (Swatches + Review HERE) on the cheeks (but even less stickier).

Comparison Swatches: Feev (Left) / Ultraviolattte Lp Sheen Screen SPF50+ Lip Blam (Middle) / Lanolips Jelly Balm

I know that it looks like Chilling Chili is very saturated, but it becomes quite sheer on the lips.

I actually think the Ultra Violette Lip Balm provides more colour on the lips. If you would like to check out the The Ultra Violette Lip Swatches + Review: HERE

Pros

  • Cruelty-Free
  • Lightweight
  • Not sticky or tacky (very pleasant thin lightweight oil-serum texture on the lips)
  • Provides a ”Your lips but better” look

Cons

  • Not very pigmented on the lips
  • Very quick / easy to come off (especially when eating / drinking)
  • Not that hydrating / moisturising

Conclusion

So Overall, I like the smoothness and thinness of these lip balms and how they are initially moisturising. However, I’m not impressed by their lack of strong colour pay-off (this has a natural finish) and how quickly the colour dissipates (especially when eating or drinking). These are not potent lip tints. Are they extremely hydrating and moisturising? Not hugely either (since the product seems to disappear relatively quick). So I’ve been a bit disappointed by these products due to the price. Between the lip balms and the blushes, I much prefer Feev’s Blushes (Swatches + Review HERE).

Dupes

  • In terms of a tinted lip balm that is glossy on the lips and provides some more colour on the lips AND provides high SPF protection, then the Ultra Violette Sheen Screen Hydrating Lip Balm is a good alternative (Review HERE).

I’ve also reviewed some other shades: LINK

  • Another great tinted lip balm that also provides good saturation on the lips and provides SPF30 lip protection is the Lanolips Tinted Lip Balm (Review HERE).
  • The Laneige Lip Glowy Balm has a very similar colour payoff to the Feev Lip Balm (I.e. a ”Your lips but better effect that is also glossy and slightly more moisturising) as well (Review HERE).

My Skin Type: I am acne prone and have slightly dehydrated combo skin. My skin is usually tight where the cheeks and eye area is and the outer parts of my face. My T zone is oily. My skin isn’t a fan of thick/heavy formulas so I opt for lightweight formulas to prevent it from clogging up. My skin doesn’t like essential oils either and I try to avoid fragrance when I can.
