Note: Available to purchase at Yesstyle: LINK / CORÉELLE: LINK / Olive Young: LINK

Hello all!

As you can see form the image above; Squid Game’s (and very famous model) Hoyeon modelled for the K-beauty brand FEEV; modelling both their Liquid Blushes and Tinted Lip Balms (Review coming soon). Thanks to Hoyeon, I purchased all the Feev blushes (excluding a new one they just introduced (Happiness).

Brand Description: Feev is a K-beauty Skincare brand that uses Bio-active Betulin from the Canadian Birch Tree (This ingredient works like Cica aka it helps alleviate irritation and redness) in all its products. Succinic Acid is also included to help balance the skin’s pH levels (and oil-water balance). They are known for their Hyper-intensive conditioning serum, Hyper-fit balancing toner and Hyper-firtifying Barrier Cream (recommended to normal-dry skins).

NOTE: If you are unsure about these blushes but would like to try them out, Olive Young offer Sample Sizes (10ml) HERE.

Information

What are these?: Multifunctional liquid blushes with a ”healthy-glow” and natural finish. This has a buildable formula so you can adjust the colour’s intensity.

NOTE: These can also be used on the lips too (read my experience below).

Vegan?: Yes.

Cruelty-Free?: Yes.

Within 36 months after manufacture, 12 months after opening

How to Use: ”Apply an appropriate amount on the cheeks or lips with fingers and spread evenly” (From the website).

Size:  20ml

Price: ~£19

Ingredients: Water, Methyl Trimethicone, Dimethicone, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Isononyl Isononanoate, Alcohol Denat., Polybutene, Polypropylsilsesquioxane, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, PEG-10 Dimethicone, Pentylene Glycol, Vinyl Dimethicone/Methicone Silsesquioxane Crosspolymer, 1,2-Hexanediol, Betulin, Chlorella Vulgaris Extract, Glucose, Fructooligosaccharides, Fructose, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Magnesium Sulfate, Bis-Diglyceryl Polyacyladipate-2, Ethylhexylglycerin, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Aluminum Hydroxide, Cetyl PEG/PPG-10/1 Dimethicone, Mica (CI 77019), Ultramarines (CI 77007), Iron Oxide Yellow (CI 77492), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Helindone Pink CN (CI 73360), Tocopherol

Skin-beneficial ingredients?: Glycerin, Fructose, Frucooligosacharides. But this does contain Denatured Alcohol (potentially drying) so perhaps the hydrating ingredients were included to counterct this while still maintaning how lightweight, thin and fast-absorbing these blushes are (but probably why they’re a bit weird-feeling on the lips).

Packaging: This is a glass bottle with a plastic pump (and a cap to prevent spillage). Feels weighty in the hand and has not spilled.

Swatches

Video Swatch (To see the texture + colour pigmentation):

Texture: As you can see, this is definitely lightweight and liquid-y but, it is definitely pigmented/saturated! Even when blending out, you can definitely still see the colour. That is why a little-goes a long way for this product.

Is this sticky?: No.

Is this greasy?: No. It’s more on the watery-hydrating side.

Blendable?: Yes (but don’t expect the colour to disappear, so less-is-more with the application!).

Colour pay-off?: Yes there is colour pay-off (i.e. I don’t need to use loads to see colour. Just half a squeeze will do both cheeks).

#Pit a Pat:

  • As you can see Pit-a-pat has a bubblegum pink colour to it.
  • It looks quite natural with my Warm Golden-toned skin (as long as I don’t apply too much)
Advertisements

#Rosy Cozy

  • As you can see, Rosy-Cozy is a warm-rose shade
  • It definitely blends more into my skin and looks more natural than pit-a-pat (but I like the healthy pink glow pit-a-pat gives)

#My Besties

  • As you can see; My Besties is a coral shade
  • It’s a little too orange for my taste (but that’s just me).

#After Squat

  • I’m surprised by how red After Squat is! I thought it would be a more natural rose shade but this is very red (see the swatches below)
  • It does mean this has the most colour payoff and very little should be used first before adding more (once it’s on it’s hard to blend the red away

#Meaning Out

  • As you can see; meaning out is somewhere between Rozy Cozy and My Besties (a Dusty coral-orange). It does mean that this is quite natural and doesn’t make the cheeks pop like Pit-a-pat or My besties, so it’s better for those who want a slightly more subtle finish.

Swatch Comparison:

Hopefully you can see the undertones and true shades of these blushes.

Favourite Colours?: I would recommend either Pit-a-pat or Meaning out for the most natural, while still giving colour to the cheeks. However After Squat is very red so if you like a more pigmented look then go for that!

Experience + Review

Texture experience: The brand states that this is a 50% Moist, essence-type liquid blush and I would agree! It feels water-based rather than oil-based so it doesn’t feel heavy on the skin at all. It’s easy to blend but the pigmentation very much is still there. It is trickier to control a liquid blush over a cream blush and a powder blush however.

What about using these on the lips?: I’m not a fan honestly. the formula is too liquid-y and lightweight to be truly hydrating or moisturising on the lips and because it’s so thin, it doesn’t fill in lip lines. Also it felt a bit sticky/tacky on the lips, and the colour disappeared quite quickly. But this is much better on the cheeks.

Pros

  • Cruelty-Free
  • Lightweight
  • Pigmented + Blendable (especially the darker it gets) but add little first and build up (it gets too pigmented very quickly)
  • A little goes a long-way, meaning I don’t use a lot of product, so it saves £)
  • Travel-friendly packaging

Cons

  • Denatured alcohol (not too much of problem if you apply a cream underneath or a lip balm, but i did feel this was drying on the lips)
  • Really easy to over-apply product and difficult to blend away afterwards

Conclusion

So Overall, these have been pleasant Blushes to use! I definitely did not need to buy the whole range in full-size (as a few of them don’t suit my tone). But they hadn’t offered the smaller sizes when I was purchasing. They have also introduced a newer purple shade.

Personally, I would recommend purchasing the sample sizes instead of the larger jars because these products are so pigmented, and also it’s difficult to tell which shade will suit your skin and tone the best, it would be better to purchase multiple samples (cheaper), try those out, and then use that until it runs out (which will take a while), you could even just repurchase the sample size because it takes so long to get through these products (I’ve barely gone halfway using these blushes).

Full Size: 20ml for ~$32 VS Sample Size: 10ml for ~$18

I don’t need to repurchase as these will last me forever, but would I repurchase? I wouldn’t repurchase these all, I would go for either Meaning out or Pit-a-pat for my warm golden skin tone, but I would purchase the sample as I don’t get through it quick enough.

Dupes

The Glossier Balm Dot Com is very good, very pigmented and blendable: LINK / Sephora: LINK

  • The Rare Beauty Blush is also lovely. It is less liquid-y but it’s just as beautifully pigmented and complimentary (and can be blended with the fingers) LINK.
  • As mentioned in my AOU Cosmetics Lip Glowy Balm Review: That’s actually been really nice as a natural, blendable (and not too sticky or shiny blush) Swatches +Review HERE.
  • If you just like powder blushes then Armani offer tremendous blushes I adore. The Luminous Silk Glow Blush. It’s very pigmented so a little goes a long way as well.

My Skin Type: I am acne prone and have slightly dehydrated combo skin. My skin is usually tight where the cheeks and eye area is and the outer parts of my face. My T zone is oily. My skin isn’t a fan of thick/heavy formulas so I opt for lightweight formulas to prevent it from clogging up. My skin doesn’t like essential oils either and I try to avoid fragrance when I can.
