What is it + What does it do?: An SPF50+ PA++++ Lightweight and hydrating sunblock with no sticky or tacky residue, white cast and a velvet finish.

What I think: I would agree. I specifically think Combination Skins would appreciate this formula the best and Oily skins in Dry weather. As this is Fragrance and Essential-Oil Free, Sensitive skins could also use this.

Vegan?: Yes.

Cruelty Free?: Yes.

EU-Allergen free: Yes.

Malassezia Suitable?: No.

How long does it last after opening?: 12 Months.

Packaging: Plastic tube with a pump mechanism and a cap on top (easy to travel with and use this product). The tube feels velvety. Using a pump does make this slightly harder to do the ”’Two Finger” SPF Method, however, you can always pump this product into a measuring spoon if you like measuring your SPF applications.

Directions: ”Apply an adequate amount over the skin evenly at the last step of one’s routine.”

How I use it: I apply this as instructed (4-5 pumps for the face). As this is so nice, I do not apply it on the neck and ears (although I could), Instead, I apply a Body SPF on the neck and ears, to save up on this product.

Note: I am able to exercise while wearing this product as I don’t look extremely oily/greasy when wearing (I have Oily-Combo Skin).

Does this turn milky when sweating?: No.

Does this sting the eyes?: No.

NOTE: The Incidecoder have a full ingredient breakdown HERE

Texture: This is has a lightweight, creamy formula that immediately feels moisturising/hydrating on the skin. It is easy to spread and doesn’t feel sticky or tacky. The formula isn’t mattifying BUT it does NOT make me look too shiny or greasy (I have Oily-Combo Skin). As you spread this out, there is no white cast and the product sets in place with a velvety finish (but not overly silicone and doesn’t ball up). If I had to describe this Sunblock, I would call it ”Comfortable.”

Sticky?: No.

Greasy?: Initially, this feels slightly greasy and creamy when applying this on the skin, but as the more emollient ingredients absorb into the skin and that light silicone layer/barrier also forms on the skin, this doesn’t feel greasy (like the BOJ Sunscreen does).

The Finish?: The company states this has a velvety finish and I would agree, as this isn’t extremely drying or mattifying, but it’s not really oily or greasy either (my oily-combo skin can handle this).

Balls up?:If I dug in with my nail and scratched my skin then this would collect under the nail, however, just wearing this normally and even under a mask, this does not ball up.

  • As you can see, this starts off as an Opaque Cream, but then blends out. This initially feels hydrating and moisturising on the skin and then once absorbed, forms a velvety layer on the skin which isn’t too heavy and doesn’t ball up.

Absorbed:

You can see this isn’t extremely shiny or greasy-looking and there is no white cast. This has a lightweight finish.

Does this Sting if the Skin has been Irritated / Sensitised by Shaving /Heavy Retinol Use?: As this is a chemical (Organic) sunblock, yes. But that does not mean that sensitive skins could not use this product.

Layerable?: Yes.

Video Swatch:

  • As you can see, this is a cream that turns into a velvet-style sunblock the more you rub it in. It is not sticky or tacky and actually feels hydrating when rubbing in. It doesn’t have an overtly shiny finish and has no white cast.

Face Swatch:

Fragrance?: Fragrance + EO Free (This doesn’t smell of anything).

Good Under Makeup?: Yes.

How long have I been using this?: 1-2 Months.

Will I use until Completion?: Yes.

How Long will that take?: ~1-2 Months (I use this daily).

The Effect?: Hydrated and moisturised skin while rubbing in. Then, as this forms a lightweight (almost weightless) barrier on top; comfortable sun protection with no white cast.

Overall Rating and Conclusion: 4.3 / 5 – A really lovely Sunblock! My Oily-Combination skin enjoys the thinness of this product and how comfortably it sits on my skin without balling up or giving me a white cast. This doesn’t make me look too greasy is shiny (a velvet finish), unless I’m specifically sweating/working out. I enjoy that it’s unscented (no harsh smell) and I like the easy-to-dispense packaging.

Would I repurchase?: Yes, as this is comfortable and lightweight.

My Skin Type: I am acne prone and have slightly dehydrated combo skin. My skin is usually tight where the cheeks and eye area is and the outer parts of my face. My T zone is oily. My skin isn’t a fan of thick/heavy formulas so I opt for lightweight formulas to prevent it from clogging up. My skin doesn’t like essential oils either and I try to avoid fragrance when I can.
