Where to purchase: Stylevana: LINK
Price: £20.19
Volume: 180ml
Made in: South Korea
What is it?: A Moisturising Lotion/Serum/Toner that helps soothe the skin and alleviate dryness.
What does it do?: Hydrate the skin and improve the skin’s barrier (reduce the chance of irritation).
Supposedly Good for: Sensitive + Dry Skins.
What I think: I think all skin types could use this however Dry skins would want this under another thicker, more moisturising product whereas Oily skins could use this as a step in their skincare routine (i.e replacing their serum). Sensitive skins can use this.

Vegan?: No.
Cruelty Free?: They sell in China, so not yet.
How long does it last after opening?: 12 Months.
Packaging: Plastic Bottle with a Flip-Top cap.
Directions: Take an appropriate amount on the palm of the hand and gently spread it on the skin, then gently wrap the skin with the palm for absorption.
How I use it: I apply in the AM and/or PM. As someone with Oily-Combo Skin, I either apply this with a pad and swipe the face (i.e. like a toner), to both hydrate the skin and remove excess dirt and oil – OR, I use this in my serum stage, to hydrate the skin (as it is slightly thicker than water). It depends if it’s summer or winter.
Key Ingredients: Hyaluronic Acid (Hydrating), Ceramide NP (Moisturising + Skin-barrier reinforcing), Shiho, Japanese Angelica + Lobular Cornus Root Extract (Meant to Soothe + Hydrate the skin). Allantoin (Anti-inflammatory). Soybean Oil (Emollient), Rosemary Extract (Conditioning). Betaine (Moisturiser).
Full Ingredients: Water, glycerin, dimethicone, 1,2-hexanediol, propanediol, betaine, ammonium acryloyldimethyltaurate/Vpicopolymer, butylene glycol, cetearyl alcohol, polyglyceryl- 3Methyl glucose distearate, glyceryl caprylate, hydrogenated lecithin, glyceryl stearate citrate, ginseng water, ethylhexyl glycerin, carbomer, disodium EDTA, black soybean oil, acrylate/stearyl methacrylic Rate Copolymer, Allantoin, Tromethamine, White-throated Ear Mushroom Spores Extract, Hyaluronic Acid, Shiho Root Extract, Japanese Angelica Root Extract, Lobular Cornus Root Extract, Ceramide NP (45ppm), Xanthan Gum, Phytosphingosine , Tocopherol, canola oil, rosemary leaf extract
NOTE: Cosdna have a full ingredient breakdown HERE
Texture: An almost-watery texture, but it’s also almost a gel! It’s like a water/gel-hybrid which means upon contact with the skin, this is soothing and hydrating! Upon contact with the skin, this does have a ”cooling” sensation.
Sticky or Tacky Finish?: No.
Balls up once dried?: No.
Oily / Greasy Finish?: No.

- As you can see, this simply runs down the hand and is a transluscent (near-opaque) liquid.

- As you can see, this has a really wet-looking texture when spread along the skin. It’s not too thick or heavy and the skin can breathe.

- You can understand why this can be used as a serum and/or toner.

- This doesn’t have a sticky or a tacky finish.
Comparison

Does this Sting if the Skin has been Irritated / Sensitised by Shaving/Heavy Retinol Use?: Yes (due to the inclusion of Hyaluronic Acid).
Summer or Winter?: Both. I think Oily skins would like this all-year round and Dry Skins could enjoy this in the Summer.
Layerable?: Yes.
Video Swatch:
As you can see, this is a hydrating, very liquid-y product that runs down the hand. It’s milky due to the inclusion of ceramides, but it feels like a watery serum.
Fragrance?: No Fragrance and/or EO. This doesn’t really smell bad either.
Good Under Makeup?: Yes.
How long have I been using this?: 4 Months.
Will I use until Completion?: Yes (Just emptied).
The Effect?: Hydrated (And cooled) Skin. This definitely has a ”soothing” factor to it.

What I like:
- No Fragrance and/or EO
- Lightweight
- Hydrating
- Didn’t irritate my skin
- Provides a cooling + soothing relief when in contact with the skin
- Not sticky or tacky
- No greasy finish
What I don’t like:
- Not that moisturising
- Wish they added more skin actives like Niacinamide + Exfoliating Acids (but I understand this is directed towards sensitive skins)
Overall Rating and Conclusion: 4 (nearly a 3.9) / 5 – This is a basic, hydrating and texturally-unique product! I like the milky, lightweight almost gel-texture of this, without being sticky or tacky. I do think Oily-Combo Skins would prefer this product > dry skins UNLESS Dry Skins are planning to use this as a toner and then apply more moisturising products on top. I definitely think Sensitive skins will enjoy this and find it soothing.
Would I repurchase?: Yes! This has been a nice, almost viscous liquid gel that’s suited my Oily-Combo Skin, especially in the Winter!
Dupe?: This is quite a unique product so it’s hard to compare. A close second in terms of hydration and compatibility with Sensitive Skins is the Aveeno Oat Serum: LINK – You can see swatches on my Youtube Video: LINK.
My Skin Type: I am acne prone and have slightly dehydrated combo skin. My skin is usually tight where the cheeks and eye area is and the outer parts of my face. My T zone is oily. My skin isn’t a fan of thick/heavy formulas so I opt for lightweight formulas to prevent it from clogging up. My skin doesn’t like essential oils either and I try to avoid fragrance when I can.
