First off, in terms of the Price: These are very similar, however the Go-To (£16.49) is usually slightly more expensive than the Soft-Touch (£16.30) but not by much.

In terms of the Volume; both of these products are 60ml, which is slightly more than your typical 50ml facial sunscreen, so that’s good (usually 50ml).

In terms of the packaging: both of these are Recyclable and made from 100% Recycled Plastic.

Both of these Sunblocks are Vegan and Cruelty-Free and both have the highest Korean Standard SPF Rating of SPF50+ Which protects against UVB Burning Rays and PA++++ which protects the skin against UVA Ageing rays.

Now, let’s first dive into the Daily Go-To Sunscreen first! This is a Vegan + Cruelty-Free, Chemical and Mineral Sunscreen.

This is a daily-use Sunblock aimed at Normal-Dry Skins and is a Hybrid sunscreen i.e. it contains both chemical and physical filters (See below for the list).

Go-To Sunscreen Ingredients List: Butyloctyl Salicylate, Dibutyl Adipate, Propanediol, Butylene Glycol, Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine, Ethylhexyl Triazone, Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Titanium Dioxide, Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate, Hydrogenated Poly(C6-14 Olefin), 1,2-Hexanediol, Polyglyceryl-2 Stearate, Aluminum Hydroxide, Glyceryl Stearate, Stearyl Alcohol, Sodium Polyacrylate, Stearic Acid, Polyhydroxystearic Acid, Behenyl Alcohol, Polymethylsilsesquioxane, Ethylhexyl Stearate, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, Caprylyl Glycol, Trideceth-6, Ethylhexylglycerin, Xanthan Gum, Centella Asiatica Extract, Madecassoside, Asiaticoside, Asiatic Acid, Madecassic Acid

Go-To Sunscreen Filters: Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine (Tinosorb S = UVA and UVB), Ethylhexyl Triazone (Uvinul T 150 = UVB), Titanium Dioxide (UVA + UVB = Inorganic / Physical / Mineral SPF Filter), Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate (Uvinul A Plus = UVA).

The Physical [Mineral] Filter included is: Titanium Dioxide which usually provides the skin with a white cast even though the company states this ”provides a sheer finish on the skin with no white cast”.

In terms of any Skin-beneficial Key Ingredients: This contains Cica [Hydrating], Asiaticoside, Asiatic acid and Madecassoside to soothe and protect the skin from environmental aggressors.

Furthermore, this Sunblock is Fragrance and Essential Oil Free, making it slightly more agreeable to sensitive skins.

Directions: ”Apply (at least 15 minutes) before sun exposure; apply two-finger lengths of sunscreen on the face and neck. 2. Apply generously to all other areas of skin exposed to the sunlight. Reapply every two hours and immediately after swimming, towel drying or extensive sweating.”

In terms of the texture; the brand states that this has a blendable formula, and I would agree; it is easy to rub and massage along the skin and is not sticky or tacky, and you can definitely feel, as this dries; the product form a light silicone-based film on top of the skin that l to prevent the product from breaking up on the skin and luckily this doesn’t seem to ball up and isn’t uncomfortable. The brand also states that this is easy to re-apply and sits fine under makeup, which I would agree.

This product definitely feels like a moisturising cream on the skin and although it’s not too heavy; this definitely has a reflective almost greasy and shiny finish. And thanks to the Titanium Dioxide; this shows up as reflective on my Warm Golden Skin Tone [May provide a white cast on darker skin tones]. So, this product is aimed at Normal-Dry Skins and judging from the finish and my experience wearing this product; I would agree. I would also suggest lighter skin tones wear this sunblock due to the reflective finish.

In terms of Dupes; The Be Plain Sunmuse Moisture Sunscreen (SPF50+ PA++++) is a really nice alternative and unlike the Go-To SPF; this chemical sunblock provides no white cast and is lighter in texture. But like the Go-TO SPF, it is also unscented (Swatches +Review: HERE).

The Banila Co Sun Essence is another very light sunblock that does contain fragrance, but it leaves no white cast on the skin (Swatches + Review: HERE).

Now let’s move onto the Daily Soft-Touch Sunscreen, which is also a daily-use SPF [SPF50+ PA++++] and unlike the Go-to sunblock, this is a Chemical sunblock containing mostly Chemical Filters (has 1 hybrid which will be discussed) so it should not provide a white cast. [Vegan + Cruelty-Free] It is aimed at Oily, Combination Skin Types.

Soft Touch Sunscreen Ingredients: Water, Propanediol, Dibutyl Adipate, Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate, Ethylhexyl Triazone, Bis-ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine, Amylopectin, Butylene Glycol, Methylene Bis-benzotriazolyl Tetramethylbutylphenol, Glycerin, Behenyl Alcohol, Poly C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate, Polyglyceryl -3 Methylglucose Distearate, Sodium Acrylates Crosspolymer-2, Carbomer, Tromethamine, Decyl Glucoside, Acrylates/ C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, (-)-alpha-bisabolol, Panthenol, Caprylhydroxamic Acid, Centella Asiatica Extract, Tocopherol, Ceramide Np, Dipropylene Glycol, Cholesterol, Propylene Glycol, Xanthan Gum, Glyceryl Stearate, Ceramide As, Ceramide Ap, Ceramide Ns, Hydrogenated Lecithi, Ceramide Eop.

The Mostly Organic [Chemical] Filters are: Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate (Uvinul A Plus = UVA), Ethylhexyl Triazone (Uvinul T 150 = UVB), Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine (Tinosorb S = UVA + UVB) , Methylene Bis-Benzotriazolyl Tetramethylbutylphenol (Tinosorb M = UVA + UVB).

Both this and the Go-To SPF contain Cica, however the Go-To (yellow) SPF contains more derivatives [slightly more antioxidative properties], however this Soft-Touch (blue) SPF contains 5 different types of ceramides [(NS, NP, AS, AP and EOP)]; to lock in moisture and form a barrier on the skin. Furthermore, it also contains Alpha-Bisabolol to brighten the skin’s tone and Panthenol which is soothing). So, the Soft-Touch contains slightly more beneficial ingredients however both products are moisturising and hydrating.

AND of note: The Go-To (yellow) SPF is Fragrance and Essential Oil Free (and just smells like the filters) whereas the Soft Touch (blue) contains Fragrance.

Now let’s move onto the swatches and texture: The Soft-Touch (blue) is supposed to have a matte finish with no white cast (let’s see…). Firstly; this is an emollient cream, it is easy to spread along the skin and is not sticky or tacky. As this is scented, it has a Dove Soap Type of Scent which does dissipate slightly once rubbed in.

This definitely feels moisturising, is fast absorbing like the Go-To (yellow) sunblock, but this does just slightly feel thinner [this feels thinner] on the skin. Like the Go-To (yellow); you can feel a very lightweight protective silicone layer form on top of the skin that doesn’t ball up. Once this sets; there is no white cast even though this contains Tinosorb M [A half-chemical / Half-Physical Filter].

Furthermore, the finish isn’t extremely mattifying but when comparing this to the Go-To Sunblock; the Soft-Touch (blue) is less dewy, shiny and reflective. The Go-To (Yellow) makes me look almost ashy, and my Oily-Combination Skin much prefers the finish of the Soft Touch (Blue) Sunblock, as I find I look less greasy or dewy and there is less of a chance of a white cast showing up on darker skin tones with the soft-touch (blue).

However, in hot/humid weather or when exercising; this isn’t as mattifying as the Nivea Anti-Shine Sunblock for oilier skin types (which I have reviewed in the video below).

Another mattifying dupe is the Garnier Ambre Solaire UV Face Fluid SPF 50+ which I would recommend (Swatches + Review: HERE).

Available at – Look Fantastic: LINK

Or the Vichy UV-Age Daily Liquid Sunblock SPF50+ for those who don’t want to look dewy (Swatches + Review: HERE).

Available at – Look Fantastic: LINK / Face the Future: LINK

Or the L’Oreal Revitalift Vitamin C SPF50+ is another excellent liquid Sun Fluid with no white cast and I don’t look greasy or oily (Swatches + Review HERE).

Available at – Look Fantastic: LINK / Boots: LINK

And of course my ultimate favourite mattifying K-beauty SPF is the Missha Aqua Sun Gel (the original formula) which I have reviewed HERE; it is extremely lightweight and mattifying and although it’s hard to find these days I have found some links so check them out: Stylevana – LINK / Skinsider: LINK / Amazon: LINK

My Review of the Old Missha Sunblock Formula VS New Formula Swatches + Comparison: LINK

In Conclusion:

The Daily Go-To (yellow) Sunscreen is aimed at Dry Skins whereas the Daily Soft Touch Sunscreen is aimed at Oily-Combination Skins. The Go-To is slightly thicker than the Soft Touch and has a Dewy reflective finish unlike the Soft touch which is not as dewy or glossy. The Go-To (yellow) sunscreen contains numerous Cica derivatives to soothe and repair the skin, whereas the Soft touch sunscreen is loaded with barrier-reinforcing emollient ceramides (to moisturise).

In my personal opinion; I prefer the Soft-Touch (blue) Sunscreen because its texture is just slightly thinner, I don’t get a white cast (warm golden tone skin) and the finish suits my Oily-Combination Skin better even though it’s not hugely mattifying [especially when exercising or in hot/humid weather].

For Oily-Combination Skins, I also recommend the HaruHaru Wonder Sunblock (Swatches + Review HERE).

And also the Nivea Sensitive Skin SPF50+ UVA/UVB Sunblock (Swatches + Review: LINK).

NOTE: Vichy have just released a NEW Mattifying Formula (Specifically for Blemish-Prone Skin which I would recommend as well): Look Fantastic: LINK / Face the Future: LINK

More Sunblock Reviews:

My Skin Type: I am acne prone and have slightly dehydrated combo skin. My skin is usually tight where the cheeks and eye area is and the outer parts of my face. My T zone is oily. My skin isn’t a fan of thick/heavy formulas so I opt for lightweight formulas to prevent it from clogging up. My skin doesn’t like essential oils either and I try to avoid fragrance when I can.
