What is this?: A Toner that hydrates and preps the skin for the next stages of skincare
Who is it good for?:
All skin types except for extremely sensitive skin or skin that is allergic / sensitive to essential oils.
What does it do:
-Hydrate
-Moisturise
-Balance pH level (prep the skin for next products)
Directions:
After cleansing, apply the toner to clean skin. Pat with palms for complete absorption.
*Multiple application is recommended for dry areas
Key Ingredients:
-Lipidure-PMB (moisturizing agent that has been newly added in addition to hyaluronic acid and beta-glucan, is classified as a fourth generation moisturizing agent because it has higher moisture retention than beta-glucan)
-Hyaluronic Acid (hydration)
-Beta Glucan (Moisture retention)
Full Ingredients List:
Water, Butylene Glycol, Dimethyl Sulfone, Betaine, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Natto Gum, Sodium Hyaluronate, Disodium EDTA, Centella Asiatica Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Polyquaternium-51, Chlorphenesin, Tocopheryl Acetate, Carbomer, Panthenol, Arginine, Luffa Cylindrica Fruit/Leaf/Stem Extract, Beta-Glucan, Althaea Rosea Flower Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Lysine HCL, Proline, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Acetyl Methionine, Theanine, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Peel Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Cananga Odorata Flower Oil, Copper Tripeptide-1
Texture: Sort of gloopy. It’s thicker than a water toner. This can be good or bad depending on what you like. For me, this balls up/pills under other skincare if I apply too much. This is similar to the Hada Labo lotion in terms of texture, but a bit thicker.
Good under makeup?: If it balls-up, no. Depends how much I use (need to be careful).
Good:
-Hydrating
-Large Volume
-Easy to Travel
Bad:
-Balls up/pills under makeup (if you use too much – so you need to be sparing with this)
-Fragrance
-Essential Oils make this not suitable for everyone
-Can be considered ‘gloopy’ Not as watery as other toners (similar to the Purito Centella Toner in texture).
Overall: This pills / Balls up on me (after rubbing my skin so it makes layering difficult). Therefore I have to give it a lower score. The thing is, this is hydrating! I’m not a fan of the fragrance however. I would love to try the unscented toner because I think I would like it more.
Overall Score: 3.5/5
