Volume: 50ml
Made in: South Korea
What is it?: A ”Serum” i.e. lightweight, SPF that aims to help reduce the look of dark spots while protecting the skin from UV damage. Containing ingredients like Niacinamide + Green Tangerine Extract + a Vitamin C Derivative to help brighten the skin. This is also meant to moisturise the skin throughout the day.
Supposedly Good for: All Skin Types (Even Sensitive Skin)
What I think: As long as one isn’t sensitive to Alcohol or Essential Oils, this is fine for sensitive skins. I do think Oily-Combination Skins > Dry Skins.
Vegan?: No
Cruelty Free?: Yes
How long does it last after opening?: 12 Months
Packaging: Plastic Tube with a pump lid. Also comes with a cap. The dispenser is good (doesn’t leak). Genuinely like the packaging as it’s sturdy.

Directions: ”Apply directly on face and gently dab to aid adherence.”
How I use it: I apply as instructed. I can use this before a workout. I personally don’t wear this if I know I’m going to need to re-apply (as I find slight layering issues). I also don’t wear this under makeup just in case of any possible balling up once dried down.
SPF Filters: Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate, Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine, Ethylhexyl Triazone, Isoamyl p-Methoxycinnamate, Polysilicone-15
Key Ingredients: 2% Niacinamide (brightening + antioxidant), Ascorbyl Glucoside (Vitamin C Derivative – Brightening), Arbutin (Brightening), Vitamin E (Antioxidant), Liquorice Extract (Brightening).

Texture: This has a ball-type texture as you can see in the pictures down below (not smooth), however it’s fine when rubbing this over the skin. It blends in seamlessly with the skin. Due to the inclusion of silicone (hence why you see those balls), this does form a film on the skin (my skin can still breathe).
Sticky?: No.
Greasy Finish?: SLIGHTLY. But it mainly dissipates (I’m not left with a horribly-dewy finish).
Balls up?: I find that this will once this has fully dried down AND I rub or itch my face. This DOESN’T rub majorly like the SVR SPFs I tried before. I also noticed this will ball up slightly when re-applying. So I prefer to wear this when I know I wont be re-applying, to avoid touching my face.

As you can see, this doesn’t have the SMOOTHEST texture when applying. But it does blend out fine. There’s no white cast (transparent).

Before and After

- As you can see there is a slight sheen to the skin this product gives (But not horribly dewy).
Does this Sting if the Skin has been Irritated / Sensitised by Shaving/Heavy Retinol Use?: Yes
Summer or Winter?: Summer
Layerable?: Once this has fully dried down, I find that when it comes to re-applying, because I’m rubbing my face, this will ball up slightly. I don’t wish to use it with makeup as I don’t want to accidentally roll around the SPF when applying my products on top.
Video Swatch:
Fragrance?: Yes! This contains quite a few essential oils: Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Peel Oil, Cananga Odorata Flower Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Extract, Limonene, Linalool.
Good Under Makeup?: Unless you are dabbing ALL your products on (no rubbing with a brush) then this should be fine.
How long have I been using this?: 3 Months.
Will I use until Completion?: Yes
How Long will that take?: 1-2 Months of almost daily use.
The Effect?: This does hydrate/moisturise the skin regardless of the ethanol included. It provides that protection without providing a white cast. It didn’t irritate or ruin my skin. Did this really boost or brighten my skin? I’m sure it’s contributed to it while I continue to use it, I do like the addition of Niacinamide + a lot of extra brightening ingredients, especially in an SPF.

What I like:
- No White Cast
- Good for Hot weather
- Good for my Skin Type (Oily-Combo)
- Lightweight
- Not a very dewy finish
- Didn’t dry out my skin
- I like the sturdy, travel-friendly packaging
- Cruelty-Free
- I appreciate the addition of a lot of skin-beneficial + brightening ingredients
What I don’t like:
- Inclusion of Ethanol
- Inclusion of Essential Oils
- Tendency to ball up when re-applying (once this has fully dried down and formed that film on the skin)
Overall Rating and Conclusion: 3.9 (nearly a 4)/5 – So far this is the best immediately TRANSPARENT SPF Silicone-based gel I’ve tried so far (it balls up THE LEAST). I like how smooth and lightweight this feels on the skin! It’s not the best at layering once this has fully dried down, so re-applying is a bit tricky, however if I’m wearing this without re-applying, it’s been absolutely fine to wear. Yes this contains Essential oils (Which I’m personally not a fan of), but luckily this doesn’t smell that strong of the EO (probably used to try and hide the Alcohol scent), but I do smell both (i.e. both EO and Alcohol), albeit the scent does disappear once this has fully dried down. The inclusion of skin-beneficial ingredients like niacinamide + the numerous brightening ingredients was a nice touch. Of course my favourite thing is that this suits my oily-combination skin (not horribly dewy), and that it doesn’t dry out my skin AND doesn’t give me a white cast.
Would I repurchase?: I’m not the biggest fan of the inclusion of EO and the slight balling up when re-applying (because of course I need to rub it in), and there are other lightweight SPFs without EO, so I would rather use them LINK.
Dupe?: In terms of a totally transparent gel SPF, it’s difficult to recommend one that doesn’t ball up as much as this one! Of course my OG is the older formula of the Missha Aqua Sun Gel (Review HERE).
My Skin Type: I am acne prone and have slightly dehydrated combo skin. My skin is usually tight where the cheeks and eye area is and the outer parts of my face. My T zone is oily. My skin isn’t a fan of thick/heavy formulas so I opt for lightweight formulas to prevent it from clogging up. My skin doesn’t like essential oils either and I try to avoid fragrance when I can.
