What is it?: A Mildly Hydrating and Soothing Toner containing Panthenol, Hyaluronic Acid and Cica Components.
What does it do?: Purito describes this as a liquid that ”boosts hydration” and ”enhances the skin’s ability to hold in moisture using plumping Hyaluronic Acid.” With the addition of Panthenol and Cica components, this product also soothes the skin and reinforces the skin’s barrier.
Aims to: Hydrate and soothe the skin.
Supposedly Good for: Dehydrated and Oily Skin
What I think: I would agree, especially for Oily Skins. I think dehydrated skins would find this a decent first step, but would want to layer a hydrating essence or serum on top too
Vegan?: Yes
Cruelty Free?: Yes
How long does it last after opening?: 12 Months
Packaging: Plastic bottle with a flip-top cap. If you squeeze, then a lot of product will come out, if not, then an adequate amount will also come out.
NOTE: This is 100% PCR Packaging (Post-consumer resin aka recycled plastic). The label is printed with Soy Ink (recyclable).
Directions: ”Apple onto cleansed and damp skin. Follow up with a Serum and Cream to seal in the moisture. You can empty this product into a mist bottle and mist your face to refresh it throughout the day.”
How I use it: I use this either in the AM and PM to Swipe of excess dirt and debris with the first layer, and then to add extra hydration into the skin with the second layer. It doesn’t take long to absorb and isn’t sticky or tacky, so I’m able to move onto my serum after this.
Key Ingredients:
Panthenol – A moisturising and anti-inflammatory ingredient (it encourages the skin to hold in moisture).
Malachite Extract – This is the ingredient that gives the product its blue colour (just like the Niod Superoxide Dismutase mist!). It is an antioxidant and therefore helps soothe the skin.
Madecassoside + Asiaticoside – Two components from Cica (Centella Asiatica). These are soothing ingredients that condition the skin and help reinforce the skin’s barrier, reducing inflammation.
Hyaluronic Acid – Hydrating Humectant (draws in moisture into the skin). This contains Sodium Hyaluronate and Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid (two types of HA) to hydrate the outer and inner layers of the skin. Of course the more molecular weights of HA, the better. But at least two is better than one!
Liquorice Root – Skin barrier reinforcing.
- So as you can see, this product works to support the skin’s barrier, hydrate it and soothe the skin. I think it does this decently (not life-changing, but decent!).
Full Ingredients: Water, Panthenol (strengthens skin barrier), Butylene Glycol (humectant), 1,2-Hexanediol (solvents), Sodium Hyaluronate (humectant), Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid (humectant), Glycerin (humectant), Caprylyl Glycol (skin-conditioning agent), Pentylene Glycol (skin-conditioning agent), Glyceryl Glucoside (moisturizing agent), Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate (skin protectants), Allantoin (skin-conditioning agent), Disodium EDTA (chelating agent), Malachite Extract (skin-conditioning agents), Madecassoside (strengthens skin barrier), Asiaticoside (skin-conditioning agent), Madecassic Acid (skin-conditioning agent), Asiatic Acid (skin-conditioning agent), Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate (humectant).

Texture: A lightweight, watery toner. As you can see from the Video Swatch below, this has a watery texture and no sticky or tacky finish. It is very similar in texture to the Etude Soon Jung Toner. It literally slides down the hand and doesn’t take long to absorb at all. Thankfully it doesn’t make my skin feel tighter + more dehydrated after applying, but it also doesn’t do an insanely amazing job at hydrating the skin and moisturising it. I would say it’s quite decent however!

As you can see, this doesn’t give the skin a blue tint.

A lightweight, decently hydrating liquid!

Does this Sting if the Skin has been Irritated / Sensitised by Shaving/Heavy Retinol Use?: Yes due to the inclusion of Hyaluronic Acid.
Summer or Winter?: Summer (But of course Oily Skins could use in the Winter in the AM).
Layerable?: Yes (No balling up).
Video Swatch:
Hopefully you can see the lightweight/liquidy nature of this product! Hence why it would be good for Oily + Dehydrated Skins + Those in hot and Humid Weather!
Fragrance?: No added Fragrance and/or Essential Oils. This doesn’t smell the best, but it’s a very mild scent.
Good Under Makeup?: Yes! (Not sticky or Tacky)
How long have I been using this?: 3-4 Months
Will I use until Completion?: Yes (As it hasn’t worsened my skin and I find it useful to swipe the face to remove excess dirt + debris, I wouldn’t want to use a more expensive or flashy product to do this with, but I like to use this toner as it at least provides something to the skin in terms of mild hydration and soothing properties!).
How Long will that take?: ~1 more month of Daily PM use.
Aims to: Hydrate and soothe the skin.
The Effect?: Skin that is somewhat hydrated and prepped for the next step of skincare. This hasn’t stung or irritated my skin or made it worse. Just a nice simple toner containing HA.

What I like:
- Fragrance + EO Free
- Lightweight
- Not Sticky or Tacky
- No balling up
- Somewhat hydrating (Doesn’t leave the skin feeling tight after applying)
- I’m glad they added >1 skin-beneficial and soothing ingredients (otherwise would have felt quite basic)
- Cruelty Free
What I don’t like:
- Not that Hydrating
- No profound improvement to the skin (But did not make it worse!)
Overall Rating and Conclusion: 4 (nearly a 3.9) / 5 – This is definitely a better version of the Soon Jung Toner (My Skin doesn’t feel as tight and dry after applying), and a Cheaper Alternative to the Laneige Phyto-Alexin Toner (Review HERE). It’s still however, quite a basic toner (not as luxurious as something like the Neogen Micro Ferment Essence), but I think for the price; it definitely is a good big bottle to swipe excess dirt and oil from the face with. And I appreciate the addition of >1 Hyaluronic Acid as well as calming and soothing ingredients, to add some beneficial ingredients to the skin and prevent it from feeling tight and dry after applying. Definitely decent for warm weather and moreso for Oily skin > Dry skin.
Would I repurchase?: If I needed a basic toner I could use for a decent price that I can use to swipe excess dirt and debris away and doesn’t make the skin feel like it’s tight or dry after applying, then I would repurchase!
Dupe?: I think this is a great decent toner. But if you want a more luxurious texture, then the Neogen Micro Ferment Essence is nice.
My Skin Type: I am acne prone and have slightly dehydrated combo skin. My skin is usually tight where the cheeks and eye area is and the outer parts of my face. My T zone is oily. My skin isn’t a fan of thick/heavy formulas so I opt for lightweight formulas to prevent it from clogging up. My skin doesn’t like essential oils either and I try to avoid fragrance when I can.
