Where to purchase: From Yesstyle: LINK

Price: £12 (roughly) – for the 180ml.

Volume: 80ml/180ml/350ml

Made in: South Korea

What is it?: Low-irritant, weakly acidic toner (pH 5.5 to try and mimic the skin’s natural pH so as to respect and preserve the skin’s barrier) soothes heated skin caused by external stimulation.

Good for: Sensitive Skins, Dehydrated skins. Acne-prone skins.

Description: A toner that keeps it simple. low pH of 5.5 to keep the skin’s barrier balanced and provide hydration throughout the day.

Packaging: Plastic Bottle with a secure plastic screw top. There is a smaller hole cap which prevent you from pouring out too much product. I like this otherwise I would accidentally use too much.

Directions: Use twice a day: AM and PM. Use a cotton pad and sweep over the face and neck. Or you can dispense onto the skin and pat.

How I use it: I use this toner as a mini-cleanser. In the morning, I wash with pure water alone and then towel dry. Then to remove any excess dirt, I apply this with a cotton pad and swipe my face. That is my skin prepped for essence and SPF.

Texture: I would say this is 1 step thicker than the Muji sensitive toner. But it’s still very light and watery. as you can see from the pictures – the product just slid down my skin so it was hard to get a nice ball shot!

Key Ingredients: Panthenol, Madecassoside, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract (skin soothing and calming – I like this). I like that this toner isn’t simply just a plain water toner, I like that additional calming and soothing ingredients and hydrating ingredients have been added! And it still respects the skin’s barrier.

Full Ingredients List: WATER, PROPANEDIOL, GLYCERIN, BETAINE, PANTHENOL, MADECASSOSIDE, CAMELLIA SINENSIS LEAF EXTRACT, SCUTELLARIA BAICALENSIS ROOT EXTRACT, 1,2-HEXANEDIOL, BUTYLENE GLYCOL, ETHYLHEXYLGLYCERIN, CARBOMER, POLYGLYCERIN-3, DISODIUM EDTA

NOTE: Skincharisma have a full Ingredient list breakdown HERE

Good under makeup?: Yes! absolutely fine

Fragrance?: No! and No essential oils either 🙂

How long have I been using this?: I used this until completion! took me a month.

The Effect?: decently hydrated skin. I understand why people use this for more than 1 layer of application as I believe 1 layer is not enough for FULL hydration. But I personally use this to swipe off dirt and prep the skin, so I’ve found it fine!

What I like:

  • No fragrance!
  • No essential oils!
  • Very light so it’s easily absorbable and spreadable
  • I like the texture
  • I like that it contains added calming and soothing ingredients

What I don’t like:

  • Not hydrating enough (compared to the Good Molecules Niacinamide Toner) – this toner is not enough by itself to fully hydrate my skin and so I would apply an essence or serum on top.
  • Because it’s so thin, it runs out quick.

Overall Rating and Conclusion: 4/5 – this is a skin-soothing, light, watery and great for sensitive / oily skin toner. I appreciate that it excludes fragrance and essential oils. And I also really appreciate that this isn’t gloopy! Sometimes you don’t want a toner that’s loaded with actives and acids and just respects your skin and keeps it unsensitised. So I appreciate this a lot!

Would I repurchase?: Yes I would

  1. I really love this toner. My skin reacts well to thinner, more watery texture toners and this one just seems to give my skin a very clear and fresh complexion. Nice review 🙂
