[Video] TI’AM – Product Review + Swatches! (+Giveaway!)

Hello all! I hope you are all well 🙂

I posted a new Video on Youtube, Swatching and Reviewing a Skincare Routine from the Brand TI’AM, available at Yesstyle.com. I hope you enjoy the face, hand and texture swatches!

This also includes a giveaway (Will close on the 8th of March 2022).

In terms of my overall thoughts of TI’AM – It’s nice to see more and more products becoming fragrance and eo free! I know there’s nothing wrong with fragrance in skincare but I personally prefer no scent; so I was happy to try out these products! I overall would recommend the brand as I think there is a product for every skin type, and I’m sure they will become more accommodating in the future (i.e. making everything vegan, but so far they ARE cruelty-free!).

If you would like to read information on the products, then continue below!

In this Video, I’ll be Showing you and Swatching Products from the K-Beauty Brand Tiam sent to me from Yesstyle! I actually previously tried their Snail Line if you want to check out my review HERE.

And, these products are actually part of a giveaway with Yesstyle! There will be 4 winners (2 from YT and 2 from IG), So if you would like to enter the giveaway to win these products, the rules are below!

Firstly: TIA’M is a K-Beauty brand that is Cruelty Free and 1 of these products is Vegan which we’ll get into. All these products are fragrance and essential oil free EXCEPT for the SPF which we’ll get to.

This is basically a whole Skincare routine, including an SPF, so let’s get into it!

Starting with: The Vita B3 Mist Toner – This toner, like the serum, helps to brighten the skin and reduce the look of dark spots. It’s a mist so it’s very lightweight and absorbs very quickly. You gently spray this across the face and avoid the eyes. Niacinamide, like the serum – is a key brightening ingredient and helps reduce the look of pigmentation and overall brightens the skin’s tone. However this contains less Niacinamide at 3%.

How are Dark Spots and Hyperpigmentation formed? They are caused by an excess of melanin caused by stimulating brown-pigment causing enzymes, excited by sun exposure and inflammation (inflammation for many various reasons).

Unlike the Serum, This contains Tranexamic Acid which, like Kojic Acid; helps brighten the skin and inhibit dark-spot causing enzymes. This also contains a Vitamin C Derivative and Grape Fruit Extract which are both meant to soothe and brighten the skin.

The Texture?: Not sticky; it’s a lightweight, liquid-y mist that does hydrate the face. It also covers the face and doesn’t seem to attack it!

NOTE: You can use this to freshen up throughout the day.

This is meant to be paired with the serum to add extra pigmentation care throughout the day so the serum can be used at night. Mist toner first and then the treatment from the serum.

Next up is the Essence/Toner – which is The My Signature Vita B5 Toner (Essence) – This is a Fragrance and Essential Oil Free Hydrating Toner meant to plump and brighten the skin. It contains Vitamin B5 which is Panthenol. Panthenol is a Humectant which helps draw in hydration into the skin.

Other than Panthenol, Betaine is included which is a great humectant and moisturiser as well as Hydrolyzed Collagen – although it does not seem to stimulate collagen production, this ingredient is a great emollient and moisturiser so it will give that sort of plumping effect to the skin through hydration. Speaking of Hydration, his contains Hyaluronic Acid which also draws moisture into the skin, as well as RH-Olihopeptide-1 which is an Epidermal Growth Factor. It’s not recommend to those who have Psoriasis or have High Skin Cancer Risk factors however. EFGs help stimulate cell division and therefore helps with wound healing and skin renewal, to also plump up the skin.

This also contains Matrixyl which is a 5 amino acid peptide that can help stimulate collagen prdouct and therefore help with fine lines and wrinkles and help overall with the skin’s texture.

Speaking of peptides, this also contains Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 which is Argireline, a personal favourite ingredient of mine, I use the one from The Ordinary – it can help smooth wrinkles to a certain extent by reducing facial muscle contraction allegedly. It could be a placebo effect but I like it!

Like the SK-11 Essence, this also contains Fermented Ingredients which work to brighten the skin and hydrate it Which is Saccharomyces or Yeast Ferment Extract, as well as Soybean Ferment Extract. So overall you can see that this product really really works to do a lot of things at once: Brighten, Hydrate, stimulate collagen production, and help with well-ageing, so it seems to be a decent skin prepper. But once again if you are prone to skin cancer or psoriasis, I would not recommend it due to the EFG inclusion.

The texture: This toner is recommended for Normal-Dry skin Types and I would agree after feeling the texture which is quite gloopy! It reminds me of the Klairs Supple Preparation Toner.

Next up is the Vita B3 Source Serum which is a serum that can be used daily. This is a Brightening Serum that aims to fade the look of dark spots, age spots and sun spots.

The 2 brightening ingredients include: 10% Niacinamide which is a good amount to see results.

2% Arbutin is included which also helps alleviate the look of dark spots (fun fact, Arbutin is also a soothing antioxidant). Other Skin-Beneficial ingredients include Hyaluronic Acid and Liquorice which are both hydrating. Allantoin is included to help soothe the skin.

In terms of the Scent: I don’t get anything offensive from this. It doesn’t put me off.

The texture of this is a lightweight gel. It runs down the hand and feels hydrating. It doesn’t sting or irritate the skin, and doesn’t leave a greasy finish on the skin, it just absorbs right in!

I would recommend to all skin types, especially those in hot and humid weather.

Next is the Ac Fighting Oil – Free Aqua Cream – This is an Oil-Free Moisturiser aimed at Oily, Acneic Skins and I would agree! This aims to provide hydration to the skin without leaving an oily or sticky residue.

The Key Ingredients include: Niacinamide which is skin conditioning, protecting, soothing, brightening and it helps regulate sebum production. Arginine is included which is skin-barrier reinforcing. Skin soothing ingredients include Panthenol and Lactobacillus ferment. This also includes the Exfoliants Betaine Salicylate which is a hydrating or moisturising version of Salicylic Acid and Gluconolactone which is a milder AHA that also hydrates the skin. So it shows how this is aimed at acneic skin-types and helps reduce skin oiliness. This product would also work in hot and humid weather.

When applying: This leaves a cooling feeling to the skin upon application. It’s easy to spread along the skin but adding too much may leave the skin sticky so I’d say less is more when it coms to the application of this gel cream. It definitely feels hydrating and gives the skin a dewy finish.

In terms of the scent: This also really doesn’t have one.

Last but not least is the: My Signature Vita Red Sunscreen. This is a Physical Sunscreen so I would recommend this to lighter skin tones. Note: This does contain Ethanol and Fragrance if that bothers you. This contains Vitamin C and Ascorbyl Glucoside which ia Vitamin C derivative to help brighten the skin and proivde antioxidant benefits. The SPF Filters are Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine, Phenylbenzimidazole Sulfonic Acid, Isoamyl p-Methoxycinnamate, Titanium Dioxide.

The Soothing Ingredients included are Aloe Leaf Extract and Liquorice Extract. In terms of the scent: This does contain fragrance so it smells like. In terms of the texture: due to the inclusion of alcohol, this definitely has a nice lightweight texture! It doesn’t make the skin feel like it can’ t breathe. Personally I’m not the biggest fan of physical SPFs, they give me a white cast and ultimately, feel a bit chalky to me – however I know many of you like physical spfs so from that viewpoint, I think you would like this! it’s got silicones to keep the texture light as well.

I was very shocked about this SPF – I honestly really thought that it was going to give me a horrible white cast and be quite sticky and tacky but no, it hasn’t been unpleasant to wear at all! And although I’m not the biggest fan of fragrance etc – I know beggars can’t usually be choosers when it comes to SPFs, especially SPFs without a white cast – so I’ll take what I can get. But the scent of this is genuinely very pleasing; it kind of smells like berries to me.

Overall: I have been impressed by this lineup! I do think the Serum might be my favourite (who doesn’t like a brightening serum); and it has a high % of brightening ingredients so it should be effective! But I do like the Cream; however it requires layering without facial oils to avoid any balling up issues! I would like the SPF more if TI’AM took out the ethanol + fragrance.

My Skin Type: I am acne prone and have slightly dehydrated combo skin. My skin is usually tight where the cheeks and eye area is and the outer parts of my face. My T zone is oily. My skin isn’t a fan of thick/heavy formulas so I opt for lightweight formulas to prevent it from clogging up. My skin doesn’t like essential oils either and I try to avoid fragrance when I can.
