Made in: France
What is it?: An SPF50+ Chemical (Organic) SPF with no white cast that’s moisturising and provides a dewy finish.
What Makes it Special?: This is supposed to be Rub, Sweat and Water Resistant (I would agree as I have worked out in this and it seems to not ball up and wipe away easily). Also, this is a Biodegradable + Reef safe Sun Cream.
Biodegradable + Reef Safe?: SVR State that they have a Sun Secure Patent which basically is the ”ideal” Sun Filter Combination that both provides high protection (SPF50+) while seemingly not harming the marine environment i.e. Coral (or cause endocrine disruption). They have more information on their website regarding the testes + patents.
Supposedly Good for: Normal-Dry Sensitive Skin + Suitable for Newborn Babies and Upwards.
What I think: Yes I would agree that this suits Normal-Dry Skins (very moisturising + dewy finish). This does contain Fragrance and Niacianamide so if you have sensitivities to that then be careful.
Vegan?: No
Cruelty Free?: (From the Website): We do not practice animal tests and thus respect the European regulations which prohibit the use of such methods
Packaging: Plastic Tube with a flip-top cap. The Tube itself is 100% Recyclable + the box it comes in is recyclable.
Directions: ”Apply generously and evenly before sun exposure. Repeat application frequently to maintain protection, especially after sweating, swimming or towel-drying.” From the Website HERE
How I use it: I applied this in the AM before working out. Due to this being so moisturising and creamy, I didn’t need to apply anything before, for my Combo skin. However as it got hotter and hotter, I found that the dewy finish made my Oily-combo skin look to oily for my personal taste, so now I use this for my ears, neck + back of the neck, and for my face (a little less dewy), the Vichy Sun Fluid (Review HERE).
Sun Filters: (These form a physical barrier on the skin’s surface + aren’t supposed to do any harm to marine environments):
-BIS-ETHYLHEXYLOXYPHENOL METHOXYPHENYL TRIAZINE (UVB and UVA filter)
-ETHYLHEXYL TRIAZONE (UVB filter)
-DIETHYLAMINO HYDROXYBENZOYL HEXYL BENZOATE (UVA filter)
-DIETHYLHEXYL BUTAMIDO TRIAZONE (UVB filter)
Key Ingredients: Niacinamide: Brightening + Anti-Acne + Skin barrier Renforcing / Beta Carotene + Vitamin E: Antioxidants
- Detoxophane + Vitamin E + Niacinamide is a supposed Antioxidant complex which protects against oxidative stress (free radical damage), Dark Spot formation and Premature Ageing.
Full Ingredients: AQUA/WATER/EAU, DIISOPROPYL ADIPATE, DIETHYLAMINO HYDROXYBENZOYL HEXYL BENZOATE, DICAPRYLYL ETHER, SILICA, ETHYLHEXYL TRIAZONE, BIS-ETHYLHEXYLOXYPHENOL METHOXYPHENYL TRIAZINE, CETEARYL ALCOHOL, HYDROGENATED VEGETABLE OIL, C12-15 ALKYL BENZOATE, DIETHYLHEXYL BUTAMIDO TRIAZONE, CETEARETH-20, GLYCERIN, PENTYLENE GLYCOL, ACRYLATES/C12-22 ALKYL METHACRYLATE COPOLYMER, POLYESTER-7, 1,2-HEXANEDIOL, NIACINAMIDE, NEOPENTYL GLYCOL DIHEPTANOATE, TOCOPHERYL ACETATE, HYDROXYETHYL ACRYLATE/SODIUM ACRYLOYLDIMETHYL TAURATE COPOLYMER, PARFUM (FRAGRANCE), TOCOPHEROL, CAPRYLYL GLYCOL, ARGININE, XANTHAN GUM, COCO-GLUCOSIDE, GLYCINE SOJA (SOYBEAN) OIL, CITRIC ACID, DISODIUM LAURYL SULFOSUCCINATE, POLYSORBATE 60, SORBITAN ISOSTEARATE, LECITHIN, LEPIDIUM SATIVUM SPROUT EXTRACT

Texture Video Swatch:
White Cast?: As you can see, there is no white cast.
Summer or Winter SPF?: Winter SPF for Combination Skin types and All-Year-Round for Normal-Dry Skins.
Texture: SVR state that this has a velvety texture that quickly melts in, leaving the skin hydrated with a non-greasy finish. It’s hard to agree with all of this as I definitely find that this is both moisturising and hydrating, but it definitely gives a glow to the skin, and does make Combination-Oily skins look greasy. But that’s why this is definitely more suited towards normal + dry skins. It definitely doesn’t make the skin feel tight either.
This is spreadable and requires a bit of massaging to fully absorb and ”dry down” into the skin.
Thick or Thin?: This is definitely a cream, it’s not a fluid. Yes it’s spreadable and doesn’t have a silicone-slip to it, it has an emulsion, creamy finish to it without making the skin feel like it’s suffocating.

As you can see, this very much looks like a cream! I wouldn’t say a heavy, uncomfortable cream however, but a cream nonetheless.

Hopefully you can see that it’s not too heavy, even though it is definitely still a moisturising cream (My skin feels like it can breathe).

As you can see, this definitely is creamy. The white cast begins to disappear more and more as you rub the product in.
Does this Ball Up? Layering Issues?: I didn’t seem to have any.
Milky Sweat when working out?: No, no milky sweat.
Face Swatch Video:
Hopefully you can see that 1. this doesn’t have a white cast and 2. this definitely has a dewy/shiny finish! This doesn’t seem to mattify down. But it’s definitely a moisturising cream.
Stings the eyes?: No, and I’ve worked out in this.
Fragrance?: Yes this has fragrance – it doesn’t smell strong to me or puts me off as it doesn’t smell like a horrible SPF but like a Dove Cream.
Good Under Makeup?: Yes, this doesn’t seem to ball up.
How long have I been using this?: 3 weeks. I’m still using this but am using the cream on my ears, neck and back of neck instead of the face (due to the overwhelmingly dewy finish for me).
The Effect?: Sun Protected + Moisturised Skin (Definitely a shiny/dewy look – not mattifying at all). Also didn’t sting or irritate my skin.

What I like:
- High SPF Protection
- The smell isn’t off putting (doesn’t stop me from applying more)
- Moisturising
- Doesn’t ball up
- Didn’t sting or irritate
- Not sticky or tacky
- No White Cast
- Engineered to be used at the beach
What I don’t like:
- Very shiny / dewy finish (See swatch video).
- Almost greasy as it’s so moisturising (hence why dry skins especially would love this)
Overall Rating and Conclusion: 3.9 (almost a 4)/5 – I have Oily-Combo Skin, so this SPF doesn’t suit my skin type, hence why I’m not a fan of the intensely glowy/dewy finish. I’m impressed that this is moisturising, cooling and genuinely feels nice on the skin (I don’t find this with thicker SPFs). This is moisturising, this has no white cast and doesn’t seem to layer poorly. That’s why I think Dry skins would adore this, and for anyone conscious about Coral Reefs (i.e. if you go to the beach a lot), then this kind of SPF is a good option! I’m not saying this is a failed product, I think it’s still good, and I apply it on my neck, back of the neck and ears as I like how moisturising and soothing (and how it doesn’t ball up around my corner or around my mask) it is.
Would I repurchase?: If I had to, I would – as this is moisturising, soothing and didn’t sting/irritate the skin. The smell isn’t off-putting either and this doesn’t ball up – all good things. If I had to use this SPF I would, as it’s not uncomfortable to wear, but it’s the very glowy/dewy finish that I find difficult to wear. Every time I use this SPF, I have to powder down my face to mattify it (just adding an extra step to my routine my other SPFs don’t give me quite as much).
Dupe?: The Isntree Sun Gel I think is still moisturising while being more lightweight HERE / A Western Dupe in terms of creamy, moisturising texture, is the Nivea Anti Age q10 HERE
My Skin Type: I am acne prone and have slightly dehydrated combo skin. My skin is usually tight where the cheeks and eye area is and the outer parts of my face. My T zone is oily. My skin isn’t a fan of thick/heavy formulas so I opt for lightweight formulas to prevent it from clogging up. My skin doesn’t like essential oils either and I try to avoid fragrance when I can.
