The shades I received were: Golden Bay Nectar / Forest Berry Red / Dragon Fruit Pink

Golden Bay Nectar:

Item Description: Pretty your pout with this playful tangerine and evoke the vivid sunsets that streak the skies above New Zealand’s wild West Coast beaches

My thoughts: The orange tone is a bit too orange-y for my liking and for my skin colour. Not my fav.

Full Ingredients List:

Ricinus communis (castor) oil, caprylic/capric triglyceride (coconut derived), Euphorbia cerifera (candelilla) wax, Cera alba (beeswax), Copernicia cerifera (carnauba) wax, Persea gratissima (avocado) oil, Oenothera biennis (evening primrose) oil, Argania spinosa (argan) kernel oil, Butyrospermum parkii (shea) butter, Simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) seed oil, squalane, tocopheryl acetate (Vitamin E). CONTAINS: CI 19140 (Yellow 5 Lake), Mica, CI 77891 (Titanium Dioxide), CI 15850 (Red 6 Lake), CI 77499 (Iron Oxides).

Dragon Fruit Pink:

Description: This fantastical superfruit lends its vibrancy to this vivid pink, which will brighten the day of those you encounter.

My thoughts: Now I thought this would be a scary fluorescent pink but as you can see it’s quite wearable, it’s more cool toned and less loud. I think I would like to try a gradient look with this. Very shiny btw!

CONTAINS: Mica, CI 77891 (Titanium Dioxide), CI 45410 (Red 27 Lake), CI 15850 (Red 7 Lake), CI 15850 (Red 6 Lake), CI 77499 (Iron Oxides), CI 19140 (Yellow 5 Lake).

Forest Berry Red:

Description: A wild and warm-based true red, with all the succulence of the forest’s bright berries on which New Zealand songbirds feast.

What I think: This is a great red. I’m an absolute sucker for red lipsticks (Ruby-woo from Mac anyone??). So this is my favourite shade of course. Absolutely can wear this. Also very shiny!

Colour Payoff?: Takes a few swipes to get this vibrant – but did not rub or tug at the skin (I.e. they weren’t hideously dry).

THE STAYING POWER: The forest berry red and pink have been extremely difficult to get off my hand and I’ve tried soaps, rubbing with a towel etc. It’s been 24 hours and I’ve still got the remnants of the red! So at least this shows there is some good staying power here!

Also not drying as you can tell from the amount of oils in these products. Smooth application.

If you’re into ‘natural’ makeup then I’d say if you can swatch these then see if you’ll enjoy them!

Retailing for £19.99 each – available at Nationwide.com, Whole Foods, John Bell & Croyden, Feelunique.com, lookfantastic.com and antipodesnature.com

Packaging Thoughts: The boxes look vibrant and lush. The lipstick packaging is a near-rubber/velvet feel. Twist to get the lipstick out.
