Review: B.liv HA Temptation

Where to purchase?: From the B.liv Website HERE

Price: $29

Volume: 30ml

Made in: Taiwain

What is this?: Hydrating Essence (I’d say a serum)

Who is it for?: Dehydrated / oily skins / sensitive skins / Dry

Description: Moisture locking serum. Instantly fuses with the skin to hydrate and quench the skin. Plumps up fine lines and improves the suppleness of the skin. Leaves you with soft, supple skin.

Directions: Apply onto the face after cleansing and toning. for better result, use at least twice daily or as needed (I think you would run out rather quick if you use this twice a day)

How I use it: I apply this AM or PM after toning. I think I use more than the average user as I apply a whole dropper’s worth on half of my face and then another on the other half. This is partly because the product ‘dries up’ so quickly, so it disappears and I have to apply more. I like this though, I appreciate that it doesn’t take forever to sink in and I can move on to the next step of my skincare.

Key Ingredients:

• snow fungus : moisturizing
• hydrolyzed silk : conditioning & repairing
• lotus extract : nutrient supply

Full Ingredients List:

Good under makeup?: Seems to be fine.

Fragrance: Can’t smell any, but I think the flower water and wood extract may be very diluted fragrant ingredients.

Texture: This isn’t pure water i.e. it doesn’t instantly run down my face (which I like). It’s closer to the ordinary’s HA serum in terms of texture HOWEVER this dries down a lot quicker, rubs in well. Sinks into the skin and hydrates from within. It is sticky initially when rubbed in and then after a few minutes, it disappears. I didn’t seem to get any balling up or pilling.

What I like:

  • Didn’t ball up / pill
  • Fast absorbing
  • No harsh fragrance
  • Very light texture (good for the summer)
  • Immediate hydration
  • Easy to layer

What I don’t like:

  • How little there is (I feel like I will run out quite quickly)

Conclusion: Overall, a hydrating serum/essence! there is little bad to say. I don’t smell any fragrance, this absorbs so quickly and leaves no sticky / oily residue even if initially this is sticky when applied to the skin, it disappears!

Overall Score: 4/5 (take a point away due to the size)

Would I repurchase?: This was given by the company in exchange for a review. I would say NIOD’s Hyaluronic Acid serum is still the best that I’ve tried HOWEVER this is a good runner up – so I would repurchase.
