Review: Bellflower Azulene Daily Calming Serum

Can be purchased on the Bellflower US website: HERE

Price:  $24

Volume: 50ml (there is A LOT of juice in here so it should last a while)

What does it do: Calming and Smoothed for sensitive skin

Made in: South Korea

Who should it suit?:

All Skin Types (Made for sensitive skins)

Also people with angry, inflamed / irritated skin.

Packaging: Glass bottle.

Look at that blue

Directions:

Apply a few drops to face in the PM as part of your skincare routine before moisturizer.

How I use it:

After cleansing, I apply this after toner because it’s so light.

Texture:

Extremely light and watery. My closest comparison is the dear Klairs calming blue serum drops – it is very light. Absorbs quick. Leaves no blue residue.

See that blue tinge? Very watery
Completely absorbed after rubbing in no blue tinge.

Good under makeup?:

Yes. This was fine for me.

Key Ingredients:

-Guaiazulene 300ppm (To calm the skin) – 0.04% Adenosine helps protein synthesis and collagen synthesis in the dermis,
It acts as a nourishing material, which helps prevent skin aging.

-Niacinamide (a wonder ingredient)

-Adenosine (brighten)

Also contains; EGF, Herb Complex (Lavender, Rosemary, Jasmin)

-Honey extract

-Hyaluronic acid

Fragrance: None.

Good Points:

  • Hydrates
  • Light (doesn’t suffocate the skin)
  • Large volume
  • No fragrance
  • Suitable for sensitive skins
  • Good under makeup
  • No irritation / stinging

Bad Points:

  • Not moisturising enough for dry skin (requires a second serum/moisturiser after) as this is so watery and liquid (like the dear Klairs blue calming serum).
  • I don’t know how much this will affect/improve wrinkles. But perhaps would be a good prevention.

Conclusion: Overall – this is a great serum to hydrate my oily skin. I love how light it is and how Bellflower strived to include ingredients to calm down irritated skin. I think this is a wonderful addition to your routine especially if you are experiencing a breakout/angry skin. The large volume does help alleviate the price too.

  • I feel like this is most useful for people who are very sensitive OR have angry skin that needs to be calmed down. If you have no issues with your skin – then this serum isn’t a necessity, but it is a nice addition.

Overall: 3.5/5
