Volume: 150ml
Made in: South Korea
What is it?: A facial cleanser that aims to form a rich lather and remove dirt and sunblock from the skin and reduce potential irritation.
Note: The brand states that this contains exfoliators like AHA, BHA, PHA and LHA but I cannot find these through analysis.
Supposedly Good for: All Skin Types.
What I think: I think this can be used by all skin types. However during the winter, oilier skins may prefer this over dry-er skins.
Vegan?: Yes
Cruelty Free?: Yes
Fungal-acne suitable?: No
EU-Allergen-Free?: Yes
How long does it last after opening?: 12 Months.
pH: 5.9~7.9 (7.0)
Packaging: Soft squeeze-y plastic tube with a flip-top cap. This is relatively easy to squeeze product out (the cleanser doesn’t shoot out, you’ll see its thickness in the texture swatch below).
Directions: ”Lather an appropriate amount on wet hands and gently massage on damp face. Rinse off with lukewarm water.” (From the website).
How I use it: I don’t use a cleanser in the morning (and if I did, I would not use this, as I think it would be too stripping), but I do cleanse at night, so I use this to wash off my SPF and sweat after a workout. If I needed to remove makeup, I would definitely use an oil-based cleanser first before using this.
Note: I would recommend lathering this up in the hands first before applying this onto the face, as it reduces any potential drying effects (eases up the cleansing power a bit) and makes the product easier to spread along the skin (apply onto a damp face).
Key Ingredients: Niacinamide (Sebum-regulating + Brightening)
Full Ingredients: Glycerin, Water, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Myristic Acid, Potassium Cocoyl Glycinate, Niacinamide, Methylpropanediol, Polyquaternium-7, Butylene Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Caprylyl Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Extract, Disodium EDTA, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Extract, Steareth-30, Caramel, Sodium Benzoate, Dextrin
NOTE: The Incidecoder have a full ingredient breakdown HERE
This contains Caramel (a colourant). It’s not dangerous, It’s just not necessary except for appearance purposes (this cleanser doesn’t have a caramel or brown colour to it).
Texture: As you can see from the swatch video below this is a slightly sticky/tacky, viscous cleanser (it’s not a liquid). It spreads fine along the skin, but I would recommend applying this into wet skin.
- As you can see, this is a viscous (almost shiny) cleanser that is opaque.
Does this Sting if the Skin has been Irritated / Sensitised by Shaving/Heavy Retinol Use?: No.
Summer or Winter?: Both (However dry skins may prefer this for the Summer).
Does this sting the eyes?: It does not sting my eyes.
Video Swatch:
Does this foam up + turn milky when water is added?:
Fragrance?: This is Fragrance + EO Free (just smells of soap).
Good at removing Makeup?: No. This is better used in a double cleansing routine with an oil-based cleanser first.
How long have I been using this?: 3-4 Months.
Will I use until Completion?: Yes.
How Long will that take?: Another 4 months (I use this daily).
The Effect?: Initially: Cleansed skin. After a while, if I don’t apply anything on the skin, it may start to feel tight (especially during cold/dry weather) and I will need to apply a serum / moisturiser on top as it’s a little uncomfortable.

What I like:
- Fragrance + EO Free
- Cruelty-Free
- A little goes a long way
- During the summer months, this has been comfortable to use on the skin.
- Doesn’t sting my eyes
What I don’t like:
- Inclusion of Caramel colourant (not dangerous, I just didn’t think it was necessary for me personally)
- Potentially drying for dry/dehydrated skin in dry weather / would not use in the AM as I would find it slightly stripping for my dehydration-prone skin
Overall Rating and Conclusion: 3.9 (Nearly 4)/5 – Not a bad cleanser from I’m From! It’s been good at removing my SPF and sweat from the gym. I’ve really enjoyed it in the warmer months, I do think it’s just slightly stripping as it’s getting colder and dry-er outside, but it’s not painful or uncomfortable to use, so I will continue to use it (Oily-Combination, Dehydration-prone skin).
Would I repurchase?: If I couldn’t get the dupes below, then I would.
Dupe?: The CeraVe – Hydrating Cream-to-Foam Cleanser (Full Swatches + Review HERE) is a good alternative as it foams up and also isn’t very stripping or painful to use (even in the winter).
Available at: Look Fantastic: LINK / Target:: LINK / Cult Beauty: LINK
- The Haruharu – Black Rice cleansing gel is always a lovely cleanser to use, and it foams up (Full Swatches + Review HERE). It is also unscented, vegan and cruelty-free.
Available at: Yesstyle: LINK / Stylevana: LINK / Soko Glam: LINK
- If you have dry skin or very dry skin (or have dehydration-prone skin), then I would recommend the CeraVe – Hydrating cleanser as a better recommendation to this cleanser. However this Hydrating cleanser does NOT foam up, so it does mean the cleansing power is slightly less effective (Swatches + Review HERE).

My Skin Type: I am acne prone and have slightly dehydrated combo skin. My skin is usually tight where the cheeks and eye area is and the outer parts of my face. My T zone is oily. My skin isn’t a fan of thick/heavy formulas so I opt for lightweight formulas to prevent it from clogging up. My skin doesn’t like essential oils either and I try to avoid fragrance when I can.
