Cruelty Free?: Yes
Packaging: Plastic Tub with a Screw-top lid (No Hygiene Tab) Note: Carton + Tub are Recyclable *See Website for Instructions)
Directions: Apply over Clean, Dry Skin + Use Daily in the AM / PM
How I use it: I use this in the PM (as I prefer not to use this under makeup) – on top of my emollient Granactive Retinoid Emulsion (I.e. Under a more emollient Serum so as not to be too heavy).
Key Ingredients: Green Tea (Antioxidant + Soothing), Liquorice Root Extract (Brightening + Soothing), Hyaluronic Acid (Humectant), Coconut Fruit Juice (Emollient + Humectant). Alteromonas Ferment Filtrate (Hydrating), Apple Fruit Extract + Hyaluronic Acid (Also Hydrating).

Texture: This is a lightweight, watery gel-like cream. As this doesn’t have oil, this is mainly Watery > Oily/Creamy. When spreading this out, it’s so lightweight and watery but boarders on that plastic-y, Silicone-like Feeling (Very Similar to the Etude Soon Jung Gel). But I still think this provides the skin with a smooth, soft finish.
This definitely feels hydrating and this doesn’t ball up like crazy and isn’t too sticky or tacky – as long as one doesn’t use too much product (and use it at the end of the Skincare Routine).
This feels both Cooling + Hydrating (those are the main two words I’d use to describe this).
Stings If the Skin is Irritated/Very Irritated?: Yes due to the Inclusion of Hyaluronic Acid
Summer or Winter?: Good for the Summer (can use in the winter but oily skins – I suggest on top of a more creamy/emollient serum)
Layerable?: I’d recommend to apply at the last stage of skincare to avoid any balling up issues.
Fragrance?: No added Fragrance / Essential Oils – But Due to the Inclusion of Coconut and Vanilla Fruit Extract; this definitely smells of Coconut Vanilla (Very Subtle Scent) – so if you like that scent (like I do) – then it’ll only add to this sensory experience.
Good Under Makeup?: I wouldn’t recommend it. I prefer slightly more Emollient Creams to wear under makeup for risk of balling up (Contains Dimethicone)
How long have I been using this?: 3-4 Months
The Effect?: Generally Hydrated Skin (No Significant changes but I didn’t expect it judging from the ingredients).

What I like:
- Fragrance + EO Free
- Cruelty Free
- Refreshing / Cooling
What I don’t like:
- Stings if/when the skin is irritated
- Not great under makeup (So I use this as a PM Gel
- Not that moisturising
- If too much is applied it may feel a little tacky/sticky (Less is usually more with Gel Creams)
Overall Rating and Conclusion: 4/5 – A good PM, Summer (and for Oily Skins – Winter) Gel Moisturiser. It’s quite basic but it’s hydrating and lightweight. Is it the most layerable, non-sticky gel I’ve tried? No. I do have some issues with tackiness and layering if I don’t apply this last in my skincare routine and if I apply too much product (hence why I took a point away). But I’m happy it’s cruelty free and that it smells pleasant without Fragrance or EO being added. But I will repeat that this is basic so don’t expect the skin to change massively.
Would I repurchase?: Yes I would! It’s a good Lightweight, Summery Gel
My Skin Type: I am acne prone and have slightly dehydrated combo skin. My skin is usually tight where the cheeks and eye area is and the outer parts of my face. My T zone is oily. My skin isn’t a fan of thick/heavy formulas so I opt for lightweight formulas to prevent it from clogging up. My skin doesn’t like essential oils either and I try to avoid fragrance when I can.
